Karl Pichler joined the EMEA team in April of 2009 and serves as our VP Finance International. Karl has been at Rackspace since 2005, based in our US HQ in San Antonio as Vice President of Finance. Over his tenure, he had several roles, including the further development of the finance function and the design and implementation of our global financing activities.

Prior to joining Rackspace, Karl was Vice President at Stern Stewart & Co., a global corporate finance consulting firm specialising in management, valuation and incentive applications of economic profit under its trademarked name of EVA.

In his earlier career, Pichler was a research fellow at the Institute for Financial Management at the University of Bern in Switzerland and worked as a business analyst at UBS.

Pichler is a CFA charterholder and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Bern, Switzerland, receiving a Licentiate Rerum Politicarum in Business Administration and Economics.
