Infrastructure
All Rackspace datacentre's employ multiple levels of security to ensure that only data centre operations engineers are physically allowed near customer routers, switches and servers e.g. no public access; live video surveillance; on site security personnel 24/7; biometric security; pass cards. Robust fire suppression, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), power feeds and generator back ups protect the physical plant. Hot-swappable servers and routers are available in the event of an outage. In addition, Rackspace use background checks and certifications to ensure the integrity of all data centre personnel.
Network
Rackspace Managed Hosting provides 24x7x365 staffed security and the monitoring of both internal devices and external threats. Our 100% Cisco Powered Network, built on hardened routers and regularly audited by Cisco, ensures maximum security protection for every customer.
Managed Exchange
Managed Exchange itself has built in security features including secure defaults, improved ability to restrict connections and messages, automatic logging off from Outlook Web Access, support for Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME), attachment blocking. Block Sender lists and a new Virus scanning API for improved anti virus protection.
