Level III tech's support Rackspace customers via both direct (phone) and indirect (ticketing system) contact assisting them in troubleshooting and maintaining complex web server configurations. Level III techs will have an extensive knowledge of web hosting technologies (OS specific - Microsoft Windows or RedHat Linux) and must be able to manage their own workload via their own ticket queue.
At Rackspace techs are not hidden away from customers and have frequent contact therefore they need to be able to communicate with confidence and conviction. Other qualities include:
- Anticipating problems and taking responsibility for timely resolution.
- Ability to plans workload to meet department objectives.
- Able to multitask in high workload environments.
- Focused on achieving objectives whilst remaining flexible to changing circumstances
